| 【With loose gemstone appraisal report】 An extremely rare gemstone! Raspberry Beryl (Pezzottaite) 1.38 CT
An ultra-rare gemstone with a gentle pink color. This is Raspberry Beryl (Pezzottaite). As collectors may know, it is an extremely valuable gemstone that can be called a phantom jewel. This gemstone was discovered in November 2002 at the Sakavalana Mine in Fianarantsoa Province, southeastern Madagascar. Initially, it was considered a type of beryl and came to be called raspberry beryl or pink beryl. However, as a result of scientific analysis, it was recognized as a new mineral with a similar structure to beryl by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA) in 2003, and was officially named Pezzottaite, both as a mineral and a gemstone, after Dr. Federico Pezzotta, who analyzed the mineral. In 2000, about 40kg of rough stones were produced in Madagascar, with only about 10% of them being gem quality. The mines in Madagascar have already been depleted, and although there were reports of a small amount of production around 2017, there have been no further reports of new production. Similar to the famous rare German gemstone Hauyne, it is mined by hand from pegmatite deposits, as the quantity is too small for heavy machinery extraction. It is said that a size of 1 CT is already considered a sufficiently large class. Gem quality is extremely scarce, deposits are already depleted, and large sizes cannot be obtained. It is a popular and truly rare gemstone among rare gemstones. At our store, we introduce it as raspberry beryl, using its original nickname. While it's true for gemstones in general that higher transparency and stronger color are indicative of better quality, due to the extreme scarcity of raspberry beryl, inclusions are also accepted as one of its characteristics. Encounters with this gem will certainly become even rarer in the future, so we hope you will cherish this opportunity. The phantom gemstone raspberry beryl, with its beautiful pink hue, is a valuable offering at our store. It ranks at the top of gemstones you should acquire now, so please add it to your collection. |
