| [Loose stone appraisal certificate included] Precious oval of high quality! Emerald 0.85 CT
Oval cut emeralds are rare on the market. This is a high quality crystal that emits a beautiful green color. Colombia is famous for its beautiful emeralds, but this is a stone from Zambia. Emeralds are gemstones that naturally contain flaws and inclusions, but their high transparency and vivid colors make them highly valued. Zambian crystals in particular tend to be of lower quality than Colombian crystals, making highly transparent gem-quality crystals extremely valuable. In addition, Zambian quartz has a higher iron content than Colombian quartz, which gives it a stronger blue color. This inevitably results in a loss of fluorescent color and makes it difficult to increase saturation. This is a wonderful stone with evenly distributed, deep color and high saturation. There are very few inclusions within the crystal, and only one angular mineral is included. At present, it is not possible to be certain without destructive testing, but under a microscope it appears to be pyrite. Pyrite is sometimes found in inclusions in Colombia and Afghanistan. Pyrite has also been reported during emerald mining in the Kafubu region of Zambia, but there are no reported cases of it being neatly contained within the crystals, so it may be a very rare example of this crystal. In any case, it is very rare for an emerald crystal to contain other minerals in a clean state. It really piques the collector's imagination as they wonder what kind of mineral it is. Although it appears clearly in the photo, the crystals are very vivid and are not noticeable to the naked eye unless you look closely. Please rest assured that the emerald as a whole is of very high quality. A rare, high-quality emerald from Zambia that exudes romance. We highly recommend it as a collection stone. |
