Very high quality rare opal!
Hyalite Opal (Glass Opal) 0.92 CT

RECOMMENDED POINTS
It is an extremely rare collector's stone.

Hyalite opal comes from the Greek word hualos, which means glass.

Because of its glass-like appearance, it is commonly known as glass opal and is extremely difficult to produce among opal species.

As it is called glass opal, it is characterized by unique bubble-like and rhytidian-like inclusions.

It has an appearance of a collection of small, transparent, granular to grape-shaped nodules, and in most cases, hyalite opal is left in its rough state.

The reason for this is the large amount of loss that occurs when cutting.
When a stone is faceted for use as a gemstone, 60 to 80% of the original rough stone is removed.

It is the rarest of all opals and is therefore a sought-after gemstone for collectors.

In particular, Hyalite, which emits a neon green color when exposed to ultraviolet light (black light), has received high praise.

This material contains trace amounts of uranium residue called uranyl, which causes it to fluoresce in ultraviolet light.

By the way, you may be reluctant to hear the word uranium, but please rest assured that it has no effect on the human body.

Of course, not all hyalite is fluorescent, but it is a natural product that happens to be present, giving it a mysterious appearance.

Rare fluorescent hyalite opal.
This is a highly recommended stone for your collection.
