A rare opal that fluoresces under ultraviolet light!
Hyalite Opal (Glass Opal) 1.40 CT

RECOMMENDED POINTS
An exceptionally rare opal!
Hyalite opal that fluoresces under ultraviolet light.

Hyalite opal comes from the Greek word hualos, which means glass.

Because of its glass-like appearance, it is commonly known as glass opal and is extremely difficult to produce among opal species.
Because it is the rarest, it is also called the mysterious stone.

Unlike precious opals, which have play of color like black opals and Mexican opals, common opals do not have play of color.

As it is called glass opal, it is characterized by unique bubble-like and rhytidian-like inclusions.
It gives the impression of being similar to moldavite, a famous natural glass.

Hyalite opal rough stones have the appearance of a collection of small, transparent lumps that resemble glass particles, and resemble drops of water that have fallen one by one and solidified.

For this reason, large sizes are not available, and 0.3 CT is considered sufficient.

What is particularly mysterious is that it emits a neon green color when exposed to ultraviolet light (black light).
It contains trace amounts of uranium, which causes it to fluoresce in ultraviolet light.

Also, this gemstone is one in which inclusions and chips are common.
We hope you will appreciate it as a natural beauty.

Of course, not all hyalite contains uranium; it is a natural product that happens to contain it by chance.

Please enjoy the rare hyalite opal.
