当店のバンコクファクトリーにてカットを施したオーサムスターカットダンビュライト。

非常に高度な技術が要求され、困難を極めるスターカットです。

皆様、宝石は様々なカットを施すことが出来るのはご存知かと思いますが、物理的にこの様なスターが施されるのは稀です。

まさにオーサム！
（オーサムとは英語で素晴らしい！すごい！というスラングです）

何故ならば、宝石をカットしている際にスターの尖っている部分が多くのケースにおいて欠損してしまうためです。

この欠損というのが問題で、熟練のカッターでさえ破損率を抑える事は非常に困難です。

その為、わざわざスターにカットしようとは思いません。

もし、スターにするのであれば基本カットしやすいダイヤかサファイア、ブルートパーズというのが一般的です。

なお当店では過去にスターのカットは多く行いましたが、その際は多くの欠損ルースが出てしまい多くの宝石が犠牲になりました。

が、、、今回、再チャレンジのスターのカットを施しました。
