Apatite has a wide range of color variations, so even though it's called yellow, it can range from dark yellow to lemon yellow.

Among them, the crystal with a vivid yellow-green color like the one introduced here is called asparagus stone, and it is a highly regarded color among yellow apatite.

By the way, it is not clear where this asparagus stone comes from.
It is probably derived from the local name of the mine where it was mined, but the most likely origin is that when it was excavated, the color and appearance of the crystals resembled fresh asparagus.
