RECOMMENDED POINTS
This is Burmese hackmanite that changes color from lavender to purple when exposed to ultraviolet light.

Burmese hackmanite features lustrous round cabochon crystals that mysteriously change color from lavender to vibrant purple.

Hackmanite, a variety of sodalite, has a mysterious property called "photochromism" or "tenebresence" that causes it to dramatically change color when exposed to ultraviolet light. It was first discovered on the Kola Peninsula in Russia and was named after the Finnish petrologist Viktor Hackman.

It discolors when exposed to ultraviolet light and returns to its original color when the exposure stops, and this property can be repeated over and over again, making it a popular collector's stone.

Unlike typical color-changing stones, this stone changes slowly when exposed to ultraviolet light, and slowly returns to its original color when the exposure to UV rays is stopped.

The intensity of the change also varies depending on the strength of the ultraviolet light and the individual crystal, making this crystal fascinating in its color change that evokes the mysteries of nature.

Although there are inclusions due to the natural nature of the stone, you can enjoy its beautiful natural appearance.

A rare stone that is one of the few that changes color when exposed to ultraviolet light.
