[With loose identification book] A very rare large blue color! Blue Aragonite 23.83CT
Aragonite is a mineral made of calcium carbonate. Aragonite, which is collected around hot springs, has the same composition as seashells and is produced by adhering to rock crevices, limestone caves, and marine organisms. It is often found in a spherical shape resembling a hailstone at the bottom of puddles, so it is called Arale stone in Japanese. Therefore, there are very few gemstones that can withstand cutting, and those that are of high quality have a glass-like luster and a gentle silky color. As a side note, calcite is also a calcium-based gemstone. The ingredients are almost the same, but the results are slightly different depending on the temperature, pressure, etc., so it's quite an enthusiast's content. It is quite difficult to tell them apart at first glance. Originally, it is a rare gemstone to appear on the market as loose, but most of the ones on the market are yellow, and blue aragonite is a so-called collector's stone, which has a much lower distribution volume and is more rare. Even if gemstone crystals exist, their hardness is around 3.5, which is quite soft, making it extremely difficult even for experienced cutters. The blue color is very rare. Since it is a gemstone that does not produce stably, it often has a white color mixed in like larimar, but the crystals we introduce here have a uniform color like aquamarine. Moreover, it is an extra large size exceeding 23CT. Aragonite as a mineral is relatively often seen, but I think there are quite a few people who own the rare blue-collar crystals that are loose. Due to its rarity and durability, it is highly recommended as a collection rather than as jewelry. We hope you enjoy the large crystals. |
