RECOMMEND POINT
Rare blue color spinel!
Garnite is recommended for collection.

Garnite (jinx spinel) has a high rarity among spinels with a wide range of color variations.

It is named after Swedish chemist JG Gahn.

Blue spinels have been commonly seen until now, but spinels that are generally lined up as gemstones are mostly magnesium-rich spinels.

Spinel・・・MgAl2O4

Among them, there is a very rare subspecies of spinel in which magnesium is replaced with zinc.

Garnite・・・ZnAl2O4

Garnite is magnesium (Mg) replaced by zinc (Zn).

Garnite is a rare spinel that has few opportunities to meet because it rarely comes out of gemstones.
At first, the deep green color was the mainstream and the impression was dark, so it didn't stand out much.

However, in 2018, garnite containing cobalt began to be mined.

Garnite was originally a dark color, but when this cobalt is included, it has a vivid blue color.

The garnite from this new mine in Nigeria is different from the garnite color that has been used so far, and because it contains a certain amount of cobalt, it is a rare rare that is attracting attention due to the announcement of the identification agency that a beautiful color was produced. It can be said that it is a stone.

This crystal has not been confirmed by the identification agency for cobalt, so we are not sure how much it is, but we presume that it probably contains cobalt as well.

Large size cannot be taken because it is very rare loose.
Most of them are about 0.1CT, so 0.28CT is an attractive size.

Rare blueger night.
If you don't have it yet, I highly recommend it for your collection.
