輝き美しいスリランカ産の稀産なシンハライト。

シンハライトは、長い間スリランカ産の茶色いペリドットと思われていましたが、１９５２年に精密な鑑定手法を駆使して分析した結果、硼酸塩鉱物の新宝石であることが判明した宝石です。

名称はスリランカの古名であるサンスクリット語の「sinhala」に由来します。

内包物も極めて少なく、透明感の高い上品な色彩の結晶。
６CTサイズで状態の良いカットストーンは非常に希少です。

上品さと希少性を兼ね備えた素晴らしい一石。
