Very rare orange hackmanite.

Orange crystals from Badakhshan province in Afghanistan were recently brought to the cutter.

Afghanistan is known for producing lapis lazuli, sodalite, and a few years ago, gem-quality aventurine, as well as hackmanite, a similar mineral species. However, hackmanite's color variations are limited to white, blue, purple, etc., and vivid orange is such a rare color that it may be a new color.

Due to the mineral properties of hackmanite, it is almost opaque, so it does not have the perfect gem quality of high-quality rubies or sapphires, but we cut it into as large facets as possible to create crystals that have a clear transparency.

It is an extra large stone measuring over 6 carats.
Of course, if you shine a UV light on it, you can see the UV fluorescent color.

It has a different appeal compared to the beauty of ordinary gemstones, so it is a stone for advanced collectors who are well-versed in gemstones.

Although several orange rough stones were cut, only three were able to remain as cut stones at this point.

Since hackmanite mined in Afghanistan began circulating on the market around 2020, we have received nearly 1,000 stones in stock. However, as of 2025, there are only three stones with a transparent orange base color and faceted cut, making it an extremely rare collector's stone even when viewed from the market as a whole.
