RECOMMEND POINT
Gorgeous Oval Cabochon Crystal Raspberyl (Pezzottite) is a rare stone that shows off its gentle pink color.

Raspberyl is a precious encounter.

This gemstone was discovered in November 2002 at the Sakavarana mine in the Fianarantsoa region of southeastern Madagascar.

Initially, it was thought to be a type of beryl, and it came to be called raspberyl or pink beryl.

However, as a result of scientific analysis
In 2003, it was recognized by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA) as a new mineral with a similar structure to beryl, and the official name for both the mineral and gemstone was Pezzotta, named after Dr. Federico Pezzotta, who analyzed the mineral.

In 2002, the rough stone produced in Madagascar was approximately 40 kg, and about 10% of the rough stone was of gem quality.

It has already been depleted in Madagascar, and it is said that there was a small amount of production around 2017, but there are no reports of new production.

Like the famous German rare stone auinite, it is mined by hand from pegmatite deposits because it is so small that it is impossible to produce it with heavy equipment.

It is said that 1 CT is enough for the size of the grain.

The quality of the gemstone is extremely low, it has already been depleted, and it is impossible to get it in a large size.
It is a popular existence that can be called a rare stone among such rare stones.
At our store, we refer to it as raspberyl from its original nickname.

Originally, it is a gemstone that is very rare in number, but it is one of the gemstones that we will not have the opportunity to see more and more in the future.

This is a gemstone that you should cherish when you encounter it.
