Hyalite Opal (Glass Opal) 0.84CT

RECOMMEND POINT
A very rare fluorescent opal!
The faceted cut 0.8CT size is attractive!

Hyalite opal comes from the Greek word hualos, meaning glass.

Due to its glass-like appearance, it is commonly known as glass opal and is extremely difficult to produce among opal species.

It is also called a mysterious stone because it is the rarest stone.

As it is called a glass opal, it has unique inclusions in the form of bubbles and ripples.
It has an impression similar to Moldavite, which is famous for its natural glass.

Hyalite opal rough stone has an appearance that is a collection of small crystal-like crystals that look like glass grains, and look like droplets of water that have solidified.
Therefore, we cannot secure a large size, and 0.3CT is sufficient, so 0.8CT can be said to be large.

It is particularly mysterious that it emits a neon green color when exposed to ultraviolet light (black light).

Although this does not apply to all Hyalite Opals, due to the presence of trace amounts of uranium, it reacts to ultraviolet light (black light) and fluoresces light green.

Although it is rare, it is popular as a collection stone because there are almost no clear specimens and there are very few gemstones that can be faceted.

Although it is a fairly clear level among Hyalite Opals, it is a gemstone that naturally contains inclusions and depressions.
We hope that you can see it as a natural beauty.

Even though the amount of production is small, only a limited number of pieces have fluorescence, which is why it is considered a highly rare collection stone.

Please enjoy the unique glow that is different from play-of-color opal in your own hands.
