Rare 15 carat size high quality triphane crystal 15.71 carat

RECOMMEND POINT
A powerful 15-carat sparkle! A large, high-quality triphane.

Have you heard of this gemstone that shines a refreshing yellow?

It is a large triphane.

Triphane is a mineral discovered in Brazil in 1887 and means "three faces" in Greek.

It is also a gemstone belonging to the spodumene (spodumene) family, and its mineral characteristics come in a variety of colors due to the replacement of aluminum, one of its main components, by another component.

For example, if the main component contains a lot of manganese ions, it will become "kunzite" which has a purple or pink color, and if it contains a lot of chromium ions, it will become "hiddenite" which has a green color.

Regarding triphane, the color-producing factor has yet to be elucidated and there are still some mysterious aspects to it, but one interesting feature is that the name of the gemstone changes when some of its components are replaced.

It is also famous as a healing stone.
For this reason, low-quality crystals that do not belong to the kunzite or hiddenite group and are brown in color are sometimes recognized as triphane, but since there are few clear crystals with few inclusions in spodumene, most gem-class crystals that are faceted are yellow or golden in color.
Of course the ratings will go up dramatically.

Because of its beauty, it is also called Yellow Kunzite.

This stone is large, over 15 carats.
The lemon yellow color is refreshing, but it is by no means pale and has a strong color.

Gem-quality triphanes in loose form are rarely seen on the market, so this rare triphane with its large, high-quality crystals is quite valuable.

I highly recommend it as a collection item.
