RECOMMENDED POINTS
Although it is a small, certified gemstone, it is popular.
This is the rare stone raspberry (petzottaite).

This unusual pink loose crystal

This gemstone is found in the Fianarantsoa region of southeastern Madagascar.
It was discovered in November 2002 at the Sakavarana mine.

It was originally thought to be a type of beryl.
It came to be called raspberry or pink beryl.

However, after a scientific analysis
In 2003, it was discovered as a new mineral with a similar structure to beryl.
Certified by the International Mineralogical Association (IMA)
Named after Dr. Federico Pezzotta, who analyzed the minerals.
The official names for both the mineral and the gemstone are now Pezzottaite.

In 2002, the amount of raw stone produced in Madagascar was about 40 kg.
Gem-quality stones account for about 10% of the rough stones.

It has already been depleted in Madagascar.
It is said that there was a small amount of production around 2017.
There are no further reports of new production.

In addition, crystals almost always contain inclusions.
The majority of the items are small particles.

There is very little gem quality and it has already been depleted, and large sizes are no longer available.
It is so popular that it can be called the rarest of rare stones.

If it is a large size, it will cost a lot of money,
Although it is small in size
It is highly recommended if it comes with an appraisal.
