[Loose stone identification certificate included] Gentle pink color created by rare stones Raspberry 0.62 CT
A lovely solid pink colour. Raspberry beryl polished into a lustrous cabochon crystal. Raspberyl (Petzottaite) is an extremely rare stone that is currently in short supply and is said to be the only one left on the market. The current mineral and gemstone name is petzotite, and the nicknames in the market are raspberyl and pink beryl. This rare stone, a pink beryl from Madagascar, first came to light at the Tucson Show in the United States in 2003 and has become popular as a new type of gemstone. The International Mineralogical Association (IMA) later officially named this new mineral petzotite. While gem-quality stones are said to be rare and it is difficult to secure large sizes, there is information that small amounts were mined in 2017-2018, but they are not currently being produced, and there have been no further reports of new production. The lovely pink color is further accentuated by the cabochon style, making this an attractive and heart-warming raspberry. Enjoy it as a collection stone. |
