Enstatite has excellent fire resistance due to its magnesium content, and its name is said to come from the Greek word "entates" (opposition). Its Japanese name is "Gankaseki" (fire resistant stone), and as the name suggests, it has excellent fire resistance. It is a very beautiful stone, measuring 1.7 carats with no unnecessary inclusions.
