フェナカイトはロシアなどの限られた産地からしか採掘されない宝石です。

また、市場においては原石などにの白く濁った結晶が多く流通しており、
宝石質のものはあまり見かけることはございません。

フェナカイトという名前は見た目がクォーツ（水晶）に似ている事から
ギリシャ語のphenakos (Phenax) 「だます」から名付けられたとされる説が有力ですが、諸説ございます。

また、輝きの強さから、ロシアのウラル山脈の物は、
ダイヤモンドと間違えられたという説もございます。

そもそも数が少ない上に、宝石質のものが少ない為、
透明な結晶の物は非常に稀少で珍しくなります。

加えて、中でもロシア産のものが非常に人気が高く、
パワーストーン愛好家の方々の間でも近年人気の宝石です。

こちらのストーンにはインクルージョンはほとんど見られず、透明感を感じられる一石となっております。
